Introduction of South Vietnam HIV –Addiction Technology Transfer Center

(VHATTC-UMP)________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

What is Vietnam HIV – Addiction Technology Transfer Center (UMP-VHATTC)?

A university-based focusing on HIV – Addiction and prevention in Vietnam through intensive and extensive trainings for both in-service and pre-service manpower.

Receiving funding from SAMHSA and support from UCLA, via PEPFAR funding; started operation from December 2014

Starting its ECHO distant learning via ZOOm since December 2017

Introduce, transfer and accelerate the adoption and implementation of evidence-based addiction treatment practices and recovery-oriented services; accordingly, contribute to improve the services quality, facilitate the limitation of substance abuse and HIV epidemic

Heighten the awareness, knowledge, and skills among the workforce that address the needs of people with SUD and other behavioral health problems

Act as a bridge to foster alliances among practitioners, researchers, policy makers, funders and the recovery community
