Description continued: brick parapet ml corbeled and decorative brickwork.

Significance continued: became owners. This structure is Cuero's best preserved and most architecturally significant warehouse building. I t stands near a spur of the railroad, near the t e x t i l e m i l l . The business that built and originally occupied this building was one of the most important commercial enterprises in early 20th-century Cuero. Although i t was one of several wholesale grocery supply business based in Cuero, i t arguably was the most successful, and had a distribution network that reached much of SE Texas.
