1968 - Established as Odenton Growth Management Area
1972 – Adopted into the General Development Plan as a defined area around Odenton to be the Town Center
1995 – Anne Arundel County Council adopted the Odenton Town Center Growth Management Area Plan.
1995 – An Oversight Committee was formed, appointed by the County Executive.

1999 – The 1995 Plan was updated.2001 – The Odenton Town Center Oversight
Committee, along with the Odenton Small Area Planning Committee, participated in the creation of the Odenton Town Center Master Plan.
May 3, 2004 – The Odenton Town Center Master Plan and Zoning were adopted by the County Council.
