“When I became unemployed, I couldn’t even begin my job search without the assistance of the Norrisville Library. From helping me

set up an email account to providing computer access to sharing their

experiences with online classes, the library has given me both moral and practical support,” patron of the Harford County

Public Library.

“One of my first memories was going to the library with my mom. We took out Thumbelina and on the way home stopped to look at the beautiful pictures while she read to me. Ever since, the library has been a refuge for me. A

safe place. A quiet place. Some where to read. To get information. To bring my children. To be

alone and still be with people. I love the library and all that it offers.“

I work at a day care center and am sent over here frequently. I am asked to pick up 20-

30 books on a subject and I usually find what I’m looking for, with the help of the

staff, Robin, a patron of the Harford County Public Library.

“The staff assisted me in earning my degree. I was computer challenged and they taught me computer skills, how to research and to use authoritative resources such as Ebsco

and other online databases available through the library’s website. “The library itself is fun

to visit, but it is the staff who were fundamental in assisting in getting my

degree and starting my small business.” – Lisa Wallace, patron of Caroline County Public

"There are some conversation clubs and I can meet many people from many

countries. We can learn English here from good volunteers. We can share each

country's culture at the Conversation Clubs. If there are no conversation clubs, we have

no chance to practice English. I love libraries, especially Conversation Clubs."

"The valuable array of services that I receive as a long time Montgomery County

Resident. As a citizen, I see my tax dollars used so wisely by the library. I cherish my visits to Little Falls Library and respect the wisdom of the library staff. The Little Falls

Library serves as a testament to the best that Montgomery County has to offer." Laura Sauer, patron of Montgomery County

“A library is a welcoming place. When my husband and I moved to St. Michaels in 2003 the first stop we made was at the St. Michaels library. Getting my library card made me feel like a truly “bonafide “member of our new community. Libraries are the clearest example of all that is best in a community and the librarians set the standard for making everyone feel welcome.”   Mary Robinson, Talbot County Free Library

I use this library because it is easily accessible for me and my handicapped

daughter. My daughter is currently taking courses and uses your reference books. It is easy to park and get into. Everybody is so friendly and helpful here – it is so relaxing, we’d love to bring in a cot and live here. Peggy Werner, patron of Harford County

“I was without a car for nearly 8 months. I

live in Hurlock, but work overnights in Easton (10 p.m. – 8 a.m.) This library saved

my life during the long, hot summer of 2010! Incredibly friendly, welcoming and

extremely knowledgeable staff, plus GREAT air-conditioning! I spent an average of 4

hrs. a day here.” A patron of the Talbot County Free Library
