NovoRapid® (insulin aspart) is indicated for treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus who require insulin for the control of hyperglycemia. It should
normally be used in regimens together with an intermediate or long-acting insulin. NovoRapid® (10 mL vials) may also be used for continuous subcutaneous
insulin infusion (CSII) in pump systems which are licensed in Canada for insulin infusion. Hypoglycemic reactions on NovoRapid® are mostly mild and easily
managed, however, glucose monitoring is still recommended. As with all insulins, patients may experience redness, swelling or itching at the site of injection.

There have been changes to the product presentation (color of capsule and packaging). PROGLYCEM® is now available as opaque white capsules with no markings and in blister pack (5 strips of 20 capsules). The DOSAGE FORM and STORAGE AND STABILITY sections of the product monograph have been updated.
Up to 2014, Proglycem was sold in bottles of 100 capsules. The capsules were opaque orange branded in black with the Schering trademark and identification letters PBB.
