Pay attention and take good notes. If you do, then you will have all of the steps you need to:

• Make proper note-cards for your paper.• Write your bibliography.*• Write your parenthetical citations.*

*You will learn the formats of these last two at a later date. The note and source cards, however, will give you the raw materials you need for the later steps.

Source Cards• Source Cards contain all of the info from a

particular source that you will need for your bibliographies.

• They MUST be made the moment you decide to use a source.

Source cards contain:

For Books: • title • author(s) or editor(s)• date of publication• place of publication (company

and city/state)

Source Cards for Magazines and Encyclopedias:

•article title •magazine or encyc. title•author(s) or editor(s) •date of publication•place of publication

For Websites:

•site name or basic site address (Ex: dog.com) •author or page designer/editor (if listed) •date of article publication or date viewed•full site address:(http://www.dog.com/dog-gifts-for-dog-lovers/818/)

Tips: --You may cut and paste long Webaddresses.

--If there is “no author” listed, you do not have to include the author.
