Bear Yuba Land Trust Treks: Table Mountain walk and wildflowers

Table Mountain, a volcanicplateau outside of Oroville, isthe quintessential place for wild-flower viewing in NorthernCalifornia.

However, the Bear YubaLand Trust treks this year will bemore about the hike and we’llsee wildflowers along the way(it’s hard to say what will beblooming this year, but it’salways spectacular). Not onlywill we see carpets of wildflow-ers, there are also lovelywaterfalls to view and rollingrangelands to roam — so lots ofland to cover. The hikes will beguided by trekkers extraordi-naire Clarence Motter and SueGraf, with Vicki MacDonaldjoining them on Sunday.

This hike, described as“moderate” in difficulty, isoffered 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., March22 and March 25. Cost: is $12for BYLT Members, $17 Not-Yet-Members.

Kurt — Somebody was posting about high local gasprices last night, I don't know whereeveryone buys, but the station I useis always one of the lowest any-where, including Sacramento. Justaround the corner from me. Youhave to drive to Marysville to get itcheaper, and then it is usually only acouple of pennies.

Guest — Well we, the wife and I, try to combine ourtrips from work to all the runarounds then to home.

To make one trip instead of two or three trips totown. Of course, I enjoy riding my motorcycle insteadof the truck. It does sadden me to know all our fuel(gallons) does not make a difference in the cost offuel. China needs more so the cost goes up.

Richard — My family spends less when the prices goup, spend more time together ... We are really happy,our garden and animals love it when the price goesup ... it makes us happy with the things that are real-ly important!!!
