Observation Lab

All these stories I usually go to in the first place so they draw me in. I noticed the logos and colors they are in makes a difference and sets the mood for the store. All the doors were closed but that might have been due to the cold weather. I also noticed that the color of the store and the flooring used carried from place to place. Some were more welcoming than others and some were more appropriate for the reason of the store. Celling’s were high in the grocery store and department store while places like Kirkland it was low. In the Whole Foods and Kirkland store the lights highlighted the product while in Conns it was bright everywhere. The atmosphere was on the quite side in Jo Anns and Kirkland which are craft like stories while noisy in Whole Foods due to the people and rustling. Bed Bath and Beyond was quite due to the lack of people. Everywhere had music except Whole Foods, which was also cold, which was appropriate in my opinion. Conns had the most spread out space. Kirkland had the cash register in the middle of the store while the rest had it towards the exit. Most people I interacted with at the stores were female and middle aged and no one was really using the product the store sold. Jo Ann, container Store, and Whole Food employees didn’t have uniform.
