David Rigby gets the crowd going with his signature tail-whip for his home crowd.

Second BMX star, Malcolm Peters, looks over his shoulder at the judges after successfully completing a forward flip.

Thomas Horne takes a moment out to recover from the Stellenbosch heat.

David Rigby closes the show with a back-flip, tail-whip – the hardest trick in his reportoire. The trick fails, and he falls to 8 metres to the ground. He tears the ligaments in both of his knees.

Teammates Julian Cleophas (left), Adam Woolf, and Thomas Horne (right) clap their injured teammate off, applauding his brave attempt.

Paramedics attend to the injured Rigby, while Malcolm Peters offers words of consolation.
