David Bailey
• David Bailey was inspired by Henri Cartier Bresson’s work, who was a famous French photographer.
• Bailey is famous for his photographs of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, and Twiggy (a famous model).

Robert Frank
• Robert Frank has 83 published photographs in the book The Americans.
• To get these photographs, Frank traveled all over America on a two-year trip. He took over 28,000 photos.
• He is best known for hi documentary on the Rolling Stones Tour

Eve Arnold
• Eve Arnold’s first photo-assignment was a fashion shoot in Harlem.
• She is one of the first women to join Magnum, a photo agency, in 1955.
• Arnold is famous for her celebrity photographs such as, Marilyn Monroe, the Queen of England, Richard Nixon, and Malcolm X.
Eve Arnold moved to London in 1961.
Brodovitch found her photographs to be fresh work and encouraged her to keep photographing in
Harlem.

• Dennis Stock, like Eve Arnold, also joined Magnum photo agency.
• Stock was in the navy for three years before becoming a photographer.
• He is most known for his photos over James Dean.

Henry Clarke
• Henry Clarke was a great fashion photographer for Haute Couture.
• Clarke also worked for the American Vogue magazine, he shot the major fashion shoots.
• His best known subjects are Anna Maghani, Coco Chanel, Sophia Loren, and Maria Callas.

Angus McBean
• Angus McBean is famous for his dramatic theater effects and his photographs of Audrey Hepburn.
• He also took pictures of the Beatles in the 60’s.
• He bought his first camera, which was a 2.5 x 3.5 inch autographic Kodak, after World War I ended.
