Installing VMware Horizon View Client for Windows

Click here to start the Client Install

Step 1 – Choose your client and Click on Go To Downloads

Step 2 – Click on Download

Step 3 – The install file will download as per the normal browser behavior depending on your browser.

Microsoft Edge will display the following messages while downloading:

Click Run once the download is complete

Step 4 – Click on I Agree & Install. Leave installation as Typical.

Step 5 – Click Finish

Step 6 – Click Yes to Restart

Step 7 – Launch VMWare

Step 8 - Click on Add Server

• Primary Use Off Campus – enter secureview.unbc.ca• Primary Use On Campus – enter view.unbc.ca• Click Connect

Step 9 – Enter UNBC Credentials and Click Login

Step 10 – Choose the VMWare Pool you require

Tip & Tricks

• Before you choose a desktop use the Settings menu to manage the display• Display can be All monitors or Full screen

• Once you are at the desktop you can Connect a USB device using the menu bar at the top ofthe screen
