ITK-SNAP 3.4:Focus on usability

• After adding tons of new functionality in releases 3.0 and 3.2, we have focused the current release on making the SNAP user interface more friendly and intuitive.

• Some of the features lost in the transition from 2.4 to 3.0 have been brought back, and the tools for working with multiple image layers have been simplified.

Well-liked UI features from version 2.4 are back in 3.4

Segmentation labels are back on the main control

Use this option to load more than one image in the

ITK-SNAP window*

* We no longer call these additional images “overlays” because the default behavior is to show them side by side with the main image.

Semi-transparent display of images such as statistical maps is still supported using the “pinning” feature discussed later
