NNepenthes is a two year young label founded by UTS student Brooke Burden.

Initally inspired by hybrids in nature, Brooke took partiular interest in the science behind rare plants and hence settled on the name Nepenthes in 2010. As the labels name suggests, Nepenthes designs are a hybrid of the rare and beautiful, producing unique looks without compromising on flattering silhouettes. Nepenthes designs are an embodiment of natures shadow self and evoke an exotic sense of nostalgia through phosphorus, translucent and bold ready to wear lines.

Brooke's illustrative style is fast, sketchy and rough ; a doppleganger to Nepenthes signature designs. Bold faces with striking features are a defining detail in both Nepenthes hand drawn and digitally produced illustrations. Just like plants are in the natural world, no two of Brookes illustrations are alike. Leaving no medium untouched, her experimentive taste has appealed to a variety of markets and specialities.

All remarkably different in technique, perhaps the only commonality Brookes illustrations share is allure....
