3. FC by-the-numbers• 20 Schools have registered (~300 students)

– (20 schools MUST be required for Region’s winner to go to National competition in Washington)

• 5 schools have mentors (15 more are still needed)

• Local competition costs $12,000, all funded by engineering organizations and volunteers

• Nationally 1,350 +/- schools participate, representing over 40,000 + students

• FC is the BEST predictor of future engineers from among several K-12 competitions
