My first dog’s tags

I carry around these dog tags on my keys with me everywhere I go. It’s like my good luck charm.

Ever since my dad found our first dog, Starky, my family has been rescuing animals off the streets every chance we get. So, I guess that's where my story begins…

After weeks of looking for his home we ended up nowhere. Vacant houses and disconnected numbers. He had tags on him with his vets number which we called and the only info he had on the dog was his name and age. So Starky, 8 years old, was then accepted as part of the family.

That's where my interest for social justice sparked. After seeing how bad of a condition Starky was in, all I wanted to do was advocate for animal rights every chance I got.

Since then I've been an advocate for many different social issues which is what led to the completion of two internships in which myself along with a crew produced two short documentaries.

After the first internship I had, my love for film grew. I bought my first camera and started my own project which I am still working on to this day.

Now being that this is a part of who I am I hope to continue making films and advocate for social justice and one day make a change in this world.
