Ms. Hollie Montero

Hi there! My name is Hollie Montero. This is my 12th year teaching, and my 6th year to teach Kindergarten. I’ve taught in private and public schools, but BRCVPA is by far the most exciting school I’ve been privileged to be. I enjoy the outdoors, cooking, reading and coffee! I have a daughter in middle school, a Catahoula and a calico kitty that require my attention when I’m not at school. I’m so excited to get to know you and your little ones this year! It’s going to be a great year at BRCVPA!

MY EDUCATION!In August 2006 I graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I’ve been trained in Responsive Classroom techniques and have attended two NAEYC conferences in my years as an educator. I’ve taught in a TAP school for four years and participated in countless other professional development courses to help further my knowledge of teaching strategies and best practices.

MY CHILDHOOD!I grew up in north Alabama and moved around a bit. We ended up in Mandeville, LA for the remainder of my high school years. I graduated from Mandeville High in 2001.
