• Class work & Homework – This will be checked each day. Although an actual grade will not be given, students will receive a notation on the clipboard for incomplete work. In addition it will be noted on the report card.

*Completing the homework will benefit your child by teaching them responsibility, and helps them succeed both in school as well as on the FCAT.

• PRACTICE Basic Multiplication Facts!!!• Use real money and have your child count

it to make change.• While you are cutting up a pizza, pie, or

cake, talk about fractions.• Create a weekly graph about temperature

and find the average.• Build something together using standard

and metric measurements.

• Read to your child. • Take turns reading to each other. • Discuss what is happening in the book and try to predict what might happen next.• Provide a variety of reading materials.• Encourage your child to journal write.• Visit the library frequently with your child.
