• Nepal is a mountainous country full of adventure and breath - taking beautiness.

• Out of The total 14 mountains more than 8000 m. height, 8 mountains are in Nepal.

- 60 % Ethnic groups- 92 Spoken language

- Over 3000 temples.- 1200 Monasteries and lamaseries. - 848 Species of birds.- 319 Species of exilic orchids.- 11 Of the world’s 15 families of

butterflies.

• In Nepal, monarchy system was dismissed by a huge mass movement five years ago.

• Now it is a secular and democratic republican country.

• Nepal is the birth place of lord Buddha. He was born in 563 BC.

• Gorkha Regiments are very popular in the world for their Bravery. They took part in first and second world war from Britain side.

• Nepal never ever have been made the colony of any others countries.

• However ancient Britain tried a lot to make it’s colony.

History of Mountain Climbing • The history of mountain climbing is started

form Europe. In 19th century mountain climbing began to be regarded as a sport in Europe.

Mountain Climbing in Nepal

• At the first time Sir Edmund Percival Hillary from New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay, a Sherpa from Nepal, on 29 May 1953 climbed Mt. Everest successfully.

• The first woman to climb Mount Everest was Junko Tabei, who reached the summit in 1975.

• Jordan Romero, an American climber is the youngest person to summit the mountain as of 2011. He was 13 when he reached the top.

• Min Bahadur Shrestha from Nepal is the Oldest Person who submit the Mt Everest In the age of 76.

• American Climber Erik Weihenmayer is The first blind climber to summit Mount Everest

• Apa Sherpa Sherpa climbed Everest 21 times between 1990 and 2011.
