The first Italianbaked snack
B uondì was created in 1953 by Angelo Motta inspired by his long experience in the production of traditional seasonal cakes like Pandoro and Panettone. He created a little, soft and delicious
panettone with no candied fruit or raisins.
From the very beginning, Buondì changed the traditional Italians, breakfast be-coming some sort of “national routine”: whether at home or in a café, Italians became used to having a «cappuccino and Buondì!».
Since1953
At the end of the 90’s, Motta handed overthe Buondì brand to Bistefani.In the past 30 years, new tasty Buondì versions were launched:
In January 2014, Motta announcedthe comeback of Buondìand other baked snacks under its own original umbrella -brand.
Under the Motta brand, Buondì and other popular snacks like Gi-rella and Yo-Yo conquered three key brand -values:
ITALIAN STYLE • UNIQUENESS • POPULARITYLater on, Motta worked on the re-positioning of these products and the development of new, attractive packaging.

New Packaging Design
Buondì was invented 60 years ago by Angelo Motta to create a snack that would be similar to Panettone, with flour, eggs, sugar, sourdough, but no candied fruit or raisins. Coming in the shape of a plumcake and topped with a crunchy glaze and pearl sugar, Buondì contains no additives and preservatives and is characterised by a long natural leavening process that makes it soft and digestible.
