I will annotate the text and prepare questions for a Socratic Seminar.
You have all been assigned a teacher on campus to be your AVID mentor
You will meet with this teacher a minimum of once a month
You will do your last binder check of each month with your mentor instead of in class
You must meet with your mentor for the first meeting by next Friday, Sept 15th
You will GIVE THEM your info sheet and show them the binder grading guidelines on the back
Have them FILL OUT and SIGN the half sheet and turn it in by Friday, 9/15 for 10 points

The Set-up
• ½ of the class sits in the inner circle and participates while the other ½ of the class sits in the outer circle to observe and record the participation of their partners. • After about 10-15 minutes, the roles are reversed and the discussion continues.
