maintained and updated periodically at the school or system le#el. It shall includeprint and non-print media 0hich are rele#ant to the educational goals ando!"ecti#es o the system2 to the instructional acti#ities o the school2 and 0hichpro#ide inormation on proessional trends and de#elopments. @he collection shall!e selected2 cataloged2 and circulated using standard procedures.
RECONSIDERATION OF MATERIAL
Careul e#aluation and selection o media !y qualiFed school personnel does notinsure acceptance !y all segments o the school community. @hereore2 occasional

complaints may !e made concerning appropriateness. ;hile the Jeferson County*chools recognie indi#idual studentsH rights2 the system also respects the right toquestion selection procedures. @hereore2 an orderly and air procedure orhandling complaints shall !e adhered to !y local school personnel.
. @he complaint shall !e reerred to the school principal 0ho shallattempt to resol#e the situation in accord 0ith system policy andprocedures.
8. I the complaint is not satisFed2 the complainant shall !e inormed othe reconsideration procedure and requested to su!mit the complaintin 0riting on the appro#ed orm. D*ee &ppendi>

MEDIA CENTER ACCESSIBILITY
@he media center at each school shall !e accessi!le or !oth indi#idual and groupssimultaneously during the instructional day.
ACCESSIBILITY OF MEDIA CENTER RESOURCES
Jeferson County media center resources shall !e a#aila!le to support instructionin any Georgia 1oard o Education appro#ed course 0hen ofered outside regularinstructional time in Jeferson County.

@he Jeferson County *chool *ystem maintains an accurate and up-to-datein#entory o all instructional materials2 computers2 and equipment. @he mediaspecialists are responsi!le or maintaining the data. &t the !eginning o theschool year2 each teacher 0ill sign an in#entory list #eriying the items that arelocated in his9her classroom.
