A “Real World” Soldier in ACU cammoflage uniform with 1st IO Cmd combat patches and armed with an M-5A rifle is bisected by a lightning bolt transforming him into a “Cyber Warrior” in futuristic armor on a virtual battlefield armed with a hald held device with ones and zeros reflected across his visor.

2D Information Operations BattalionMascot Posters “Cyber Knight” and “Cerberus”

Original Sizes 40”x60” and 50”x30”

The knight’s “Chain of Office” has six sections denoting the six permanently deployed Regional Computer Emergency Response

Teams (RCERTS) noted in the coat of arms by the six stars.

The tags on the collars of the three heads of the Cerberus are emblazoned with the letters: A, E, and D for the three elements of Computer Network Operations (Attack, Exploitation and Defense.

U.S. Army Cyber Oposing Forces Logo2D Information Operations Battalion

Design Guidance was to incorporate elements of both the ist Information Operations Command and U.S. Army Cyber command Seals. With a Red Dragon symbolizing the Oposing Force role of the unit.

The pentagon shape from the ARCYBER seal in inverted and the real/virtual globe is ensconced by the dragon’s wings.

A raised sword from the 1st IO Command seal is draped with a black ribbon with the motto “the Dragon Never Sleeps”

U.S. Army Cyber Command Seal and Original Unit Patch DesignThe Green Border signifies the Land –based orientation of the command.

The flowing Escher-esque Grid pattern over the black background represents the shifting, amorphous nature of the Cyberspace environment.

The Globe represents the world-wide reach of the command. The terminus between light and dark and physical and computer generated symbol, represents both the round the clock operations tempo and the interaction of Cyber Operations upon the physical world.

The Three Spears symbolize the three areas of Computer Network Operations, Attack, Defense, and Exploitation.

The Lightning Bolt/s, on the top border of the Seal and the single bolt on the patch,crossing the Spears dexter, symbolizes the ability to strike anywhere with the speed of light.

Overalll size of display 9’x5’. Constructed in three panels 3’ wide each, theywere attached to a folding tradeshow display at a conference.
