THE MOTORHOMEAt the back of the garage, a motorhome is used as a briefing zone and rest area for drivers with beds a shower and toilet.
HEAD OF RADIO COMMUNICATIONSEnsures the proper functioning of radio communication within the team and the driver in the cockpit
TYRE WARMERUsed to raise the temperature of tyres before tyre changes to optimize adhesion
TELEMETRY SPECIALISTFollows all the car data in real time on monitors and telemetry and makes the data available to the team
SYSTEMS SPECIALISTResponsible for the electronics of the prototype and monitors the functioning of the car via the information retrieved by telemetry
ENGINE SPECIALISTFollows engine data and operates the various settings, closely monitors fuel consumption and also engine oil
CHIEF ENGINEERDirects the team of mechanics during procedures and manages the pit box
CHASSIS & CAR ENGINEERAnalyses acquired data from the prototype chassis to diagnose the causes of incidents. This information enables engineers to make decisions and plan changes or repairs
TECHNICAL DIRECTORConstantly supervises and refines the team’s strategy and technical choices
TEAM MANAGERThe team’s interface with the race director, he manages the team and drivers. Leader of the group responsible for overseeing operations, he is the kingpin of the team organization
RACE ENGINEERSummarizes information from the technical team to whom he is responsible and defines the technical strategy to follow (race strategy driver stints, monitoring performance and reliability
SIGNALLERPosted on the pit wall, he informs the driver on his race position and gap with the cars ahead and behind, he gives this in short messages (eg «PUSH» or «BOX»)
PHYSIOTHERAPISTPrepares and massages drivers before and after each stint so that they are in top physical condition
EQUIPMENT MANAGERHe is responsible for the preparation of the pit, the supply of parts and tools. He manages fuel, wheels and tyres and interfaces with the delegate of the tyre supplier
SIMULATION SPECIALISTAnalyses the performance of all competing cars and advises on race strategy
HYBRID ENGINEERHe is responsible for the hybrid system of the prototype. Hybrid power is recovered via the transmission (allowing a «boost» to acceleration), the engineer sends information to track engineer who will refine the strategy
MOTOR MECHANICWorks on the engine under the direction of the Engine Specialist
MECHANICWorks on mechanical parts, changes the tyres
