Mass – quantity of matter that a substance or object contains. More matter, more mass.Volume – amount of space taken up by a substance or object.Substance- Any material that can be observedWeight- A measurement of how much Earth's gravity pulls on an object

Solid The state of matter in which particles vibrate and do not appear to move. Ice is water in a solid state. a state of matter that has a fixed shape and volume

Liquid The state of matter in which particles slide freely over one another. Maintains volume,

but takes the shape of the container.

Gas The state of matter in which particles do not have a fixed shape or volume
