GradesHW/CW/Preparedness – 20%

HW is assigned most nights. NO WORK = NO CREDIT HW is posted on board and on my website. Binders, Planner (HW & BR pass) & Pencils *especially on

tests/quizzes Homework scores start at 100. Five points are deducted for

missing HW assignments, 1 point is deducted for each time a student is unprepared for class.

Tests/Quizzes – 80% Each assessment is worth a varied number of points that is

decided departmentally. Tests will be weighted heavier than quizzes.

Extra Credit (only included on tests/quizzes)

Extra Help – “LEHP”

7th Grade: Unfortunately, I was assigned to teach a class & am unavailable for lehp. All of my students are welcome to attend

any of the following: Thursday or Friday on the A Day with Mrs. Friedman in room 804 ……or…… every day with Ms. Fichera in room 802A

PowerSchool You can update yourself about your

child’s progress through the parent logon of PowerSchool. 

Please allow us adequate time (~1 week for multiple choice/matching type assessments and 2+ weeks for assessments with essays or projects) to grade your child’s work. 

We will do our best to update and publish grades as soon as possible.

CMP2 is Discovery-based Program (used in many districts in NJ)

**Homeroom

Binders~ Due to the nature of the program, binder organization is crucial.

We have suggested to your child organizing his/her binder using the following sections:

•Important Information – parent letter, binder guidelines

•Skills Practice – NJASK review packet

•Vocabulary – Academic & Unit sheets

•Class work – Investigations, notes, examples

•Homework – ACE questions or other assigned worksheets

•Tests/Quizzes – keep all quizzes and tests until binder clean out (then transfer to a folder at home)

Remember…Keep open lines of communication.We need to know if there are academic

concerns at home.Please use our websites & any additional

resources you find.Please share any of the wonderful & helpful
