The following list of items should be considered for your session to be a success -- the more you bring, the better your portraits will be:

• Hair: Hats, flowers, headbands, clips for updos. Go for the dramatic, big hair and curls.

• Dresses: Evening gowns with long flowing bottoms ones that can be twirled, party dresses, solid colors preferred. If you’ll be with friends or relatives coordinate the colors for a beautifully coordinated shot. Colors should be complimentary not necessary identical.

• Tops: Form fitting solid tops, one shoulder, tank tops, and collarless. If you have body art you would like to showcase, plan to bring a top to show it off. Depending on the season we tend to dress in all sleeves or all strapless, be sure to bring a variety of outfits that make your images season-less.

• Pants and shoes: The portraits are usually thigh up so any comfortable pants with flip flops are fine.

• Jewelry/Accessories: Big / chunky necklaces are acceptable. Also, belts, scarves, bracelets, and earrings will be used so bring options.

• Undergarments: Black or white strapless bras for tanks, one or off shoulder outfits, etc.

• Props: Feel free to bring props for your shoot that fit your personality.

• Make-Up: For these sessions, we do not have a licensed makeup artist. I ask that even if you don’t normally wear makeup, in order to give you the gorgeous photos you will need apply makeup to highlight your features. I can assist you if needed.

• Glasses: You’ll want to remove your glasses at least 30 minutes before your session.

• Making you Session Special: Costumes, masks, headdresses, etc. will make your session unique so feel free to bring them along

Preparing for your session

Before your session• Do not use a new cosmetic or hair product or use self tanner

within a week to two of your session.

• Get a good night’s sleep. The more rested you are, the more beautiful you will look.

• Drink plenty of water at least an hour or two before your session.

• Come to your shoot with a fresh, clean (makeup free) face and hair washed the night before.

• Be sure to take care of any personal maintenance (shave arm-pits, tweeze stray eyebrow hairs).

• For children’s portraits, be sure to bring their favorite toys! Scarves, hats, and other accessories look especially cute on them.

Be sure to plan a night out afterwards since you’ll be ready for night on the town!
