THE MEANING OF MANDALA• The word "mandala" is from

the classical Indian language of Sanskrit, meaning "circle”.

• The circle is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Indian religions, such as Hinduism and Buddhism. It represents the universe and life itself.

• It represents wholeness and unity in all aspects of life. Everything from the sun, moon, and earth, to circles of friends, family, and community.
