DESCRIPTION
Saleh is a thirty-some years old man who’s trying to flee conscription under the rule of the Ottoman Empire in the early 1900s. He carries along with him his objective of going back home to his pregnant wife and his teen daughter. 1914 is a story of mystery and tragedy mixed together with passion and suffering that Saleh experiences in this adventure. The story was originally told to the director Hasan Salame by his grandmother Mira Malli. He took that story and developed it into a short film structure screenplay, and filmed it as his senior project film upon graduation from the Lebanese American University (LAU)
