Chloe GardWHAT IS YOUR PRACTICE? I mainly work in photography but have been playing around with printmaking for the past year or so- lots to explore!

WHAT INSPIRES YOUR PRACTICE? Nature, big cities, interesting characters.

I like to focus on the things that surround me and try and document them in my own way. I focus on my friends, where I live and what I see when I go out to explore.

Brisbane is a good place to be an art student. There are great resources here and loads of artistic people. It’s always good to travel and come home to Brisbane - you see it in a different way each time and it’s inspiring.

I have no idea where I will be in a few years. Right now I am just doing what I want to do and I don’t know if that will lead to a secure future but I don’t really feel the need to plan ahead right now.

I’m from Switzerland - I moved here when I was 7. I was never really into visual arts in school, I focused on languages and playing music. When I left school I started studying psychology. It was terrible. I decided to go to art school in a moment of uncertainty, but it’s the best thing I’ve done.
