REGISTRATION FOR CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT
Complete online application with Salt Lake Community College.
Print out Signature Page and return to Junior High School Counselor.
Complete Appeals Form and return to Junior High School Counselor along with essay for the Communication courses.
Take Accuplacer tests in Reading and Math. Test will be given at the Junior High School Computer Lab in March/April.
Admission must be completed prior to March 8th so Accuplacer Testing can be completed.
MHS CONCURRENT COURSES AVAILABLE FOR SOPHOMORES
Art 1020 – Introduction to drawing. Art Foundations with a “C” or better recommended.
Art 1800 – Digital Media. Art Foundations with a “C” or better recommended.
Arch. 1100 – Intro to Architectural Drawing. Teacher/Counselor recommendation
Communication 1010 – Elements of Effective Communication. Reading and Math Scores on file at SLCC along with essay.
Communitcation 1020 – Principles of Public Speaking. Reading and Math Scores on file at SLCC along with essay.
EDDT 1010 – Introduction to Engineering Design and Drafting Technology – Teacher/Counselor Recommendation.
Music 1010 – Introduction to Music – Reading and Math Scores on file with SLCC.
SLCC CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT FEE’S
Application Fee - $40.00. Payable at the time the online application is completed.
All Concurrent Enrollment classes starting with summer semester 2013 will be charged a minimum tuition fee. The tuition amount has been set by USHE (Utah System of Higher Education) at $5.00 per credit hour. (i.e. a 3 credit hour class will cost $15.00). When a student registers for a Concurrent Enrollment class, the College will bill them. Parents will be responsible for payment of tuition. Students who fail to pay by the tuition fee deadline ( September 13, 2013) may be charged a late fee of $50.00.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Completed REGISTRATION FORMS will be collected in English classes on Friday, February 22nd.
