A right is something you are ALLOWED to do or have by law.

The rights of Pennsylvania citizens are protected in both the US Constitution and the Pennsylvania Constitution.

The Bill of Rights also guarantees, or protects,

some rights that aren’t listed in the Constitution.

Some of these rights are:

• Freedom of religion.• Freedom of speech.• Freedom of the press.• The right to a fair trial.• The right to vote.

why.

Voting is both a right and a responsibility.

Once you turn 18, you have the right to vote. Voting in local, state, and national

elections is one of your most important responsibilities.
