Inventor of the Super Soaker

An Inventor is born!

Lonnie Johnson was born in Mobile Alabama on October 6, 1949.

Cruel Racism

When Johnson was young, he entered The Alabama State Science fair, even though he was sadly the only black student.

Then Johnson totally dominated in first place, but the only thing that was ever said to him was “Y’all drive safe.”

Through a trip down Memory Lane

Johnson was so curious about mechanics, he once ripped his sister’s dolls apart to see how the eyes worked!

Family?

Johnson is happily married with kids.

The Great Invention! Lonnie Johnson is the proud inventor of the super soaker squirt

gun! (Great invention)

A Graduate!

Lonnie Johnson’s schooling was at T.H William High School in Alabama where he studied engineering.

Fast Facts!!!

He made $200 million in one week

Was an engineer in the drone mission to Jupiter

Both parents were in WWII

He’s a Libra

Relations I can relate to him because he was willing to make

something super cool from something lame and that is something I enjoy.

Worthy of Acknowledgement?

Lonnie Johnson is worthy of acknowledgement because he is the great inventor of the great Super Soaker squirt gun, king of summertime fun!

What I Learned

I learned that even though people say you can’t, you can still dream, and achieve what ever you want!
