an oUTsTandInG Tax FaCULTy The graduate faculty of the LL.M. in International Taxation share a strong
dedication to teaching and scholarly research, along with significant
practical experience. They include the authors of major taxation textbooks
and treatises widely used in law schools and in tax practice. They are
full-time members of the College of Law faculty, and all of the students
in the International Taxation program will have the opportunity to study
with them. They are joined by visiting professors, research scholars, guest
lecturers and panelists from many different countries.

oover the course of more than 35 years, the Graduate Tax Program at the
University of Florida Levin College of Law has established itself as one
of the premier tax programs in the world. students from throughout the
United states and numerous foreign countries have come to study for a
year and obtain an advanced degree in taxation. since 2005, one of the
degrees they have been able to obtain, in addition to the LL.M. in Taxation
and the s.J.d. in Taxation, is the LL.M. in International Taxation. The LL.M.
in International Taxation is a one-year course of study that features:
a sUPerb InTernaTIonaL CUrrICULUM The LL.M. in International Taxation is designed as a challenging and rewarding program for full-time students that will help
prepare them for careers in tax law. The degree requires the completion of 26 semester credits in taxation, with at least 13 of
these credits in international tax courses. The curriculum for the LL.M. in International Taxation provides extensive and in-depth
study of major problems and issues in international taxation, and includes International Taxation I & II; International Tax
Planning; International Tax Policy; Tax Treaties; Comparative Taxation; Transfer Pricing; International Tax seminars; and other
courses, including independent study projects and the full range of courses in U.s. taxation.
exCeLLenT sTUdenTs FroM aroUnd The WorLd In recent years, students from more than 20 countries have attended the
LL.M. in International Taxation Program, performed at a very high level, and
enjoyed a challenging and rewarding experience. admission to the LL.M.
in International Taxation is open to both U.s. and international law school
graduates; they will be considered for admission on the basis of outstand-
ing credentials, including potential for distinguished performance, academic
record, professional experience and geographic factors.
sTaTe-oF-The-arT CLassrooM and researCh FaCILITIes new classrooms and study areas for Graduate Tax students and a library containing one of the major tax collections in the
country make the College of Law a leading academic environment for tax research and study.
ModeraTe exPenses and oPPorTUnITIes For FInanCIaL aId all admitted students are considered for available financial aid, including scholarships and research assistantship appoint-
ments that may significantly reduce the cost of tuition and the cost of attending. The state of Florida also has “linkage
institute”programs with several countries and regions that provide tuition assistance for selected students. Interested students
should contact the Graduate Tax Program for additional information.
The UnIversITy oF FLorIdaThe University of Florida is one of the leading public universities in the United states; the Levin College of Law enjoys a
national reputation. Gainesville has been rated one of the country’s most livable cities, with all the entertainment and cultural
offerings as part of a major university, in an area with numerous lakes, rivers and springs, with many opportunities for outdoor
recreation, an average temperature of about 21 degrees Celsius, and proximity to major cities in Florida and to both coasts.
