• I am a CLA member• Long Beach is about an hour from where I live• I had never been to a library and information

Northridge• Offered basic introduction to cataloging with

RDA, focused on print monographs, and covered both description and access

• Included hands-on exercises which included use of tools and documentation in support of cataloging with RDA.

• Attendees accessed the latest national documentation on policies, decisions, best practices, and training materials related to RDA.

• Through guided participatory exercises, they gained knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for the effective implementation and integration of RDA into the fabric of their libraries.

catalog for small non-circulating book collections at institutions large and small.

• The Scandinavian American Cultural and Historical Foundation took a backload of at least a dozen boxes of donated books and organized them via LibraryThing.

• They created a tool for expanding their influence and attracting others interested in learning and discussing Scandinavian and Scandinavian-American culture.
