Kronos System Upgrade Overview

When are we Upgrading?

• Go Live Date Monday, October 21st • Plan for system to be down Thursday, October 17th

at 5:00pm through Sunday October 20th • Time clocks should continue to work and save

punches at the clock during downtime • Email will be sent to all employees when system is

available

Key Points for Kronos Upgrade

• Compatibility with Java 7. Java 6 also works, but the latest Java version is more secure and recommended by NUIT

• MAC users & Windows 8 users continue to use non-Java environment

• Works with Internet Explorer 7, 8, 9, 10 (IE 10 with Compatibility mode turned on)

What browser version am I running?

• In your browser toolbar menu, click Help> About Internet Explorer to find the version of IE you are running

What Java Version do I have ?

• Control Panel> Programs and Features will list all versions of Java you have installed on your pc

• Your technical contact may need to update/install a new Java version if you are not running a compatible version of Java with Kronos 6.3

• Select the checkboxes and click Run • This will only appear the 1st time you log in

How to prepare?

• If you have Java 7 already, you may return to the Java-enabled Kronos URL at go live

• If you have Java 6 installed, see certified versions of 6 • If you have more than one version of Java, we

recommend you uninstall all but one
