I would like to praise and thank the Lord for the opportunity to serve Him. We are blessed to be a part of building the Kingdom of God.
I was blessed to be a part of the 20 year anniversary celebration of “Templo Bautista Monte Calvario of Rialto.” We want to continue to pray for their ministry in Rialto and for Pastor Moises Gonzalez as he leads them.
We ask for your prayers as we look forward to starting a new work in Grand Terrace; that we would be patient and wise as we move forward in proclaiming His Word.
We would also like to thank Dr. Iorg in leading us through “How to Study the Bible” program at the Desert Area Workshop. It was very practical approach in understanding His Word and spending time with the Lord.
Greetings in the name of our Lord! As I write this month’s article I am reminded of what a wonderful
place in which God has placed each one of us in the Inland Empire. I recently found out that if our
association (based on population) was a state, we would be the 26th largest state in the United States.
Of course we rejoice not only in the place God has placed us, but the wonderful diversity that marks
the Inland Empire. We are truly surrounded by “fields that are ready to be harvested”. However, the
size and diversity of the “field” reminds us of the heart of Southern Baptists’, we can do more by
cooperating together than any one of us can do alone. As a result of this cooperation we are still
averaging one church start a month, helping one another in social ministries, leadership development, outreach
events, missions and even conflict resolution. Sometimes we get so focused on our particular assignment in God’s
kingdom work, we forget that on many levels, we are part of a greater working of God as He draws people to
Himself through Christ. One of the ministries I have truly come to appreciate are those who help pregnant women
who are struggling with the choices in front of them. We are in the process of developing a list of “pregnancy
enters” throughout the Inland Empire, and our desire is that each one of our churches will adopt one of these
ministries. If you know of a “pregnancy center” that you would like to recommend we add to our list, please let us
know and we will contact them.
Pastors and Sunday School Directors Planning Workshop Recently I have been thinking about how much we do in our ministry that is intentional versus what we do out of habit. It is important that we have a plan and goals for our ministry. That doesn’t mean that
we leave God out, on the contrary, God provides us with the vision we need to set those goals. The Pas-tors and Sunday School Planning Workshop is an opportunity for you to do some dreaming about what you want to accomplish in your Sunday School ministry. Join us on Saturday, July 10, 2010 in the Staples Room on the campus of California Baptist University. We begin with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:00 noon. Jason Barker, Minister of Education at Immanuel Baptist
Church, Highland will be our speaker. There is no cost and you do not need to pre-register.
AND THE WINNER IS... We had three drawings at Equipped for Excellence this year. Jim Harlev from Crosspointe Community Church in Fontana won the $50.00 gift card for giving us his e-mail address. Sandra Williams from Walnut and Clarence Winbush from Rancho Cucamonga each won a $100.00 gift card to the LifeWay Bookstore. Congratulations to these folks.
TRANSFORMED CONFERENCE—FEATURING RAY COMFORT AND KIRK CAMERON
Save the date of Saturday, November 13, 2010. Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron will be hosting their
famous Transformed Conference. We will meet at Immanuel Baptist Church in Highland. Watch for more
details in the next month or two.

This month we conducted our inaugural IESBA Golf Classic at Moreno Valley Ranch Golf Club. It was an exciting day including bar-b-que lunch, range balls, putting contest, golf and awards banquet. God gave us a beautiful day, sunny with temperatures in the mid 70’s. Everyone enjoyed the course and the day of competition. The tournament proceeds will be used for the benefit of our Set Free, Crisis Pregnancy, Skid Row, Food Pantry, and camp and missions scholarship ministries. We raised between $5,000 and $6,000. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, volunteers, and players for their participation.

In a few weeks we will be adding
a mission trip tab to our website.
Here we will list all of the
mission trips that our churches
plan to participate in over the
next year. We will list the mission
trips that are also open for more
people to attend. We want this to
be a way to connect our churches
and allow us to reach the World
for Christ. To look up the
mission trips go to
