St. Albert parishioners are remarkably generous. Sharing a
portion of our income with the Church is a sign that every-

work of the Kingdom of Christ. Thank you so much for your

Dear St. Albert Family,
St. Paul's Letter to the Romans this Sunday reminds us
of our fundamental call in baptism. Baptism is not only a call
but a grace. In baptism we have died with Christ and thus we
might live with Him. That message of hope contains the
roadmap to daily life. We must participate in the daily dying to
self and sin SO THAT we might live IN Christ and with Christ
now and unto eternity. So, that's what happened in our baptism
and how our baptism might be renewed everyday.
These days of pandemic and social upheaval are cer-
tainly presenting us with many opportunities to practice this
baptismal spirituality everyday. So many of us have had to die
to our expectations, our plans, our typical relationships, our
connection in family and church, and so much more. May the
Holy Spirit dwelling within us, by faith, help us to die with
Christ and to live in Him, in His Eternal Life.
We have been welcoming just over 400 worshippers at
our three weekend masses over the past month. People have
been graciously cooperating with all of the precautions in
place. I must admit that it is a strange experience to minister at
the Mass with a crowd of people forbidden to have any contact
with each other. It is especially challenging to preach to a
group of people whose faces cannot be seen. It's like screaming
into a pillow - not much effect from a great deal of effort, but it's
a start. I am praying with all of you for a cure/treatment of the
COVID 19, so that our worshipping community and our
school and learning communities can resume some sense of
normal human and Christian contact.
I am also praying for all of your households and fami-
lies. These isolating and separating practices in our society are
really wearing on people's nerves. Patience, reconciliation,
laughter, satisfying work, and relaxation are all being chal-
lenged. So, let's be good to one another, pray for each other,
and double our efforts on staying connected in love.
Peace,
June 28, 2020

Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacra-ment. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen
“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

the works of the Holy Father is held in parishes across the

Justice & Compassion Ministry Update
Feeding the Hungry
Since mid-March and through the month of May, the Feeding
the Hungry Ministry has been going strong, albeit a new look
due to COVID19. Our outreach meals to St. Herman’s and
Moriah House have become ‘grab and go’ brown bag meals
dropped off at the hunger site. St. Augustine’s has asked for
meal menu items for their staff to prepare for the daily 600
meals that they serve. St. Pat’s has asked for non-perishable
food items that can be packed in food boxes for distribution.
The monthly North Royalton Community Meal is happening,
although in drive-thru pickup fashion. And lastly, the parish has
initiated a Friday evening meal delivery to our parishioners on
our Communion Call list, Share-a-Meal recipients, Deaconess
Perry Senior Building residents, and the North Royalton Police
and Fire Departments.
Here are some of the facts and numbers:
SATG is a member agency of the Greater Cleveland Food-
bank which affords us the resources to order and distrib-
ute a variety of non-perishable and perishable food
items.
Since mid-March SATG has distribute over 12,000 lbs. of
food. This equates to providing food items for over
10,000 meals for those in need.
The North Royalton Senior Produce Market, held the 2nd
Tuesday of each month, distributes over 2,500 lbs. of
fresh produce to not only seniors, but to any person/
family in need. This Market is spearheaded by SATG in
cooperation with the City of North Royalton, Royal Re-
deemer Church, and Abundant Life Community
Church.
At the North Royalton Senior Market, qualifying seniors can
receive a 30lb. box of non-perishable pantry food items.
The boxes are provided through the Senior Box Pro-
gram of the Greater Cleveland Foodbank.
Beginning in June, 100 pre-packed boxes of dairy products
which include milk, butter, cheese, and yogurt will be
distributed at the Senior Produce Market. The boxes
are provided by the Greater Cleveland Foodbank
through a Miceli’s Dairy donation.
Feeding the Hungry Ministry packed over 1,000 meals in
April and 1,320 in May for our neighbors in need at var-
ious hunger sites.
The Friday evening meal delivery has delivered 840 meals.

Preparing for Next Sunday’s Mass Parish LinC Letter July 5, 2020 Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
Read the following Scripture passage paying attention to a word, phrase, or
idea that stands out to you:
At that time Jesus exclaimed: “ I give praise to you, Father, Lord
of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise
and the learned, you have revealed them to little ones. Yes, Father, such has
been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father.
No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except
the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal.
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of
heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden
light.”
Matthew 11:25-30
Step 1
Consider and Discuss these 3 Questions:
Considering your life today....
1. What in this reading comforted you?
2. What in this reading encouraged you?
3. What in this reading challenged you?
For further contemplation....
What conversion of mind, heart, and life is the Lord asking of me?
Step 2
conclude by praying our “Parish Communion Prayer”
O Communion of Love, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, embrace us as your children in this family of faith. Wel-
come us to a place at your table in the wedding feast of heaven. O Father of Mercy, forgive us as we forgive. Rec-
oncile us as one Body in Christ and make us instruments of your Peace. O Spirit of Fire and Light, send us as
your witnesses in daily life. Through our prayer, faith, and good works may we become welcoming doorways, in-
viting others to enter and encounter your Holy Communion of Love.
We make this prayer, Father, in the power of the Holy Spirit, and through Christ our Lord. Amen
