Goodbye from Father Pfeifer It has been a joy to serve the
parish of Holy Spirit over the past
2 years. I am happy that God has
brought you into my life, and you
and all the parishioners will never
be forgotten in my daily prayers. I
hope that my time here has led
you closer to the love of Jesus,
and into a deeper relationship
with the heart of our
Lord. Perhaps, in the future we will be able to cross
paths again someday, but in the meantime this is my last
weekend at Holy Spirit. If you would like to get ahold of
me in the future, I leave my new contact information.

rather mybrotherjesus.com in the web address. The website is new
and improved, and many have asked for copies of homilies. All of my
homilies are found here, as well as a bible study, my RCIA power points
for those who want to grow deeper in the faith, and you can pray the
rosary on here every day. Please check out the website, a lot of hard
work has been put into it over the past few months!
GOOD TIMES AT THE
MONSTER TRUCK JAM! THURSDAY MASS AT
ROSEWOOD WITH
THE LITTLE DEACONS
AND FATHER PFEIFER
Farewell from Father Moen I have many wonderful memories
of being your pastor at Holy
Spirit. I have been strengthened
by your faith and openness to
God. This is a beautiful parish
and a treasure to the heart of
Jesus. By God’s grace may we
continue to walk on the narrow
road and enter through the
narrow gate that leads to life. May we continue to
make Jesus smile by needing Him for everything.
Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among
women, and blessed is the
fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our
death. Amen.

“For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters. But do not
use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh; rather serve
one another through love.” - Galatians 5:13
We like to celebrate the fact that we are free to “live the
good life.” But Jesus calls us to a different kind of freedom.
St. Paul reminds us that Jesus sets us free so that we can
serve one another, share our gifts and promote God’s
work here on earth to glorify His name and not honor
ourselves.

A HUGE THANK YOU FROM BOTH OF US!
We want to take this opportunity to thank all of the
parishioners for the awesome Fish Finder (Father
Moen) and for the cash towards a new computer
(Father Pfeifer) as going away gifts. The parishioners
of Holy Spirit are so generous, and in these short 2
years you have come to know us quite well! A Fish
Finder is a perfect gift in that you know how much I
enjoy fishing (Fr. Moen) and a new computer will be
a very useful tool so I can keep up with my
Facebook posts and website updates when I am at
my new parish in Napoleon (Fr. Pfeifer). Please
know that you all will be in our prayers.
Yours in Christ, Fr. Moen & Fr. Pfeifer

SUMMER DRESS FOR MASS Now that warm weather is here, it is time to
consider what is appropriate for Mass during the
summer? Appropriate dress should reflect three
things:
Our respect for God’s house
Our respect for Jesus’ Real Presence in
the Eucharist
Our respect for our brothers and sisters
in the Body of Christ
With this in mind, a guideline for men,
women, youth, and children would be:
No shorts or short skirts and no low
cut tops or tight attire.
When in doubt, it is
always best to choose in favor of modesty.

I have to say I really fell in love with Holy Spirit as soon as I
walked in the doors. Everyone was so welcoming as if they’d
known me for years. I was so excited that I called my husband
afterwards and told him this was the place for my daughter…
They are learning so much and it is always such a treat when
you see first-hand how much our little one’s learn and retain.
The Little Deacons program has been such a blessing to my
family and I know because of being here my daughter is being
provided with the tools and knowledge to prepare her in her
