Jamaica is consistently warm with lots of tropical weather. Usually 22 degrees through to 31 degrees. Jamaica is an earthquake and hurricane zone. It has tropical climate with high temperatures and humid weather. Jamaica has tall mountains and they divide Jamaica in half.

The explorer Christopher Columbus arrived in Jamaica in 1994. People from Spain came and followed him and introduced bananas and sugar canes to the island.

These sellers made the Arawaks work for their farms and treated them very cruelly.

Many died for starvation and overwork.
