If you're reading this 1:1 brochure, it's because you are a life-size person, and because we couldn't stand the thought of our frames looking small. We are just too proud of our materials, our finest steels and the way we transform these into Belgian bicycles of a quality so fine, it makes pralines look ordinary. So here they are, life-size frames, chains, grease, welding lines, some people and a few words. This 1:1 brochure gives you a taste of who we are, and how that Ascender frame you've had your eyes on would nicely fit your garage or hallway.

To many, Eddy Merckx is a god. To the Vaneenooghe family, he was just one of several gods coming to pick up a divine bike at their workshop in Ruiselede. Just a bunch of gods hanging out at the Jaegher home in between winning every race on the planet.

A Jaegher bicycle has passed through the hands of true craftsmen. Every frame is handwelded and brazed in our workshop in Ruiselede, Belgium. You have to be a mélange of welder and watchmaker to handle these ultra-light, thin-walled tubes. This craft in precision steel manufacturing is passed down from generation to generation. Just like the best fashion designers don’t do ready-to-wear, Luc and Diel are not tempted by mass production. Every single Jaegher corresponds to the exact needs of its owner. In our workshop, the client is meticulously measured. It can take up to an hour to do this exactly right. Every tube of the frame is then cut and mitered exactly according to those measures. There is no such thing as ‘about right’ at Jaegher.

17

Front to back. Each Jaegher frame is made with care for details and those details’ details.

The devil is in the details, and in Luc's brazing.

18

The first owner of every Jaegher bicycle gets a life-long warranty, just because that sounds super cool and we're not worried. This craftsmanship will last a lifetime.

It takes years of working with this kind of high-end steel to fully understand it. Luckily, Luc and Diel have mastered this trade, and can guarantee a Jaegher made from the strongest material, with one important extra feature: it's lightweight. And since the devil is in the details, when you pick a Jaegher frame with lugs (Raptor pistier or Phantom), you can be sure that Luc will do a state-of-the-art job welding it.

19

Luc’s lugs can be found on two Jaegher models: the Raptor pistier and the Phantom.

For the final assembly, clients get to choose from the finest groupsets and wheels. And when it comes to the other parts, only the best brands are good enough. Nothing less will do to make a Jaegher perfect down to every last detail. And when we say custom-made, we mean exactly that. You can even choose the colors. Stylish and timeless like the frame. The advantages of wet paint are that colors are more lively and vibrant, and it's more environmentally friendly.

Don’t be afraid delve deep into the details, because our painter David Meirhaeghe (yes, he’s the brother of) doesn’t like to leave a job half done. He only works his magic for the finest brands and the best international racers. If you really want to go all the way in personalization, you can choose to have a quote inscribed on the top tube. A signature phrase that best suits your personality and that has inspired the greatest of the greatest.

It goes without saying that you can drop by our workshop for after-sales service. Tuning your gears, mounting new brake pads or chain rings, you're welcome for any kind of maintenance: just give us a call and we’ll make sure everything will be done in optimum circumstances. The satisfaction and driving pleasure of Jaegher don’t stop at the sale.

20

21

Jaegher works exclusively with the top of the range: Columbus spirit and XCR tubes, imported from Italy, thick and solid at the tube ends, thin and light in the middle. The weight of our frames rivals that of other materials, while the ride quality is simply incomparable.

When it comes to aesthetics, nothing beats a handcrafted steel bicycle: it’s stylish, timeless and pure. And when it comes to performance, steel is definitely the top dog. Simply put, there is still no better material to build a bike with.

The Interceptor is exclusively made from Niobium steel. The Columbus Spirit tubes are a special blend of steel and manganese, chrome, nickel, molybde-num and niobium. This special chemical composition, the combined result of strengthening for precipitation and reducing the alloy grain size, is incredibly enhanced compared to standard steels. After specific processes of progressive drawing and forming, niobium undergoes a special heat treatment that gives the steel its final characteristics. It provides superior mechanical features and higher resistance to environmental conditions than conventional steel. This is the ultimate choice for a custom competition or top-of-the-line frame, where light weight, stiffness and reliability are key. The LS-38 Interceptor is the benchmark for ride quality and performance.

The Phantom is all about classic lines and details in a high performance-package. A special blend of Columbus Spirit is brazed together with gorgeous lugs. The slightly-smaller-diameter niobium-alloy tubes take the magical ride quality of a steel frame up another notch. The brazed construction has the added bonus that your frame is easily repairable if that should ever be necessary. Whether you’re flying over the Roubaix cobbles, participating in Paris-Brest-Paris, set-ting a personal record on the Ventoux or blasting back down, the Phantom will boost your confidence year after year after year.

This is the ultimate evolution of high-end steel. The Ascender uses the most modern steel tube set available: Columbus XCR. These stainless tubes are seamlessly made, starting from a solid billet. It is machined and cold drawn to obtain the final required thickness. This way, the very high mechanical charac-teristics are uniform and constant throughout the whole section of the tube. Thanks to the special chemical composition of this new alloy, the grain structure is not altered by the welding. Each tube is exquisitely TIG welded to produce a frame superior to anything else out there. Designed to deliver a magical ride quality while offering extreme durability and fatigue resistance.
