VISTARFDF (Fixed Display Framework)

Library used to create a controls & monitoring java-based fixed displays.

Multiple GUI solutions are supported:•XML definition with SwiXML (also generated) for simple layouts•Pure Java JFrames (with any Java GUI Builder) for complicated cases

It integrates multiple CERN components like AscBeans (lables, tables, etc) & JDataViewer

It integrates integrates other basic components like TimeDate & “Diode”…

Main principle used to create FDs is to define them in XML.The XML files contain a description of all the components (labels, charts, etc.) and layout of each screen.FDF architecture uses japc-monitoring

and this configuration typically contains the XML file definition of the japc parameters to be monitored.
