WHAT IS AN IPAD??The iPad is a tablet computer that

is lightweight and mobile.The iPad is only a half-inch thick,

and weighs only 1.5 pounds.It is approximately 9.5-inches tall

and 7.5 inches wide.Basically it combines the best

features of a notebook or netbook computer and an iPod touch.

IPADS THE FUTURE??First released April 3, 2010Secondary schools began to bring them in during next school year.

PC’s were a novelty to our Generation but are now Life for the new Generation.

subjects.Students have better posture.There grade/progress can be stored

in a database from the iPad.

Option to connect to iPad Dock in order to connect to a TV or projector, ability to use with other devices in the classroom.

Cuts down on paper costs.Platform for e-textbooks.Creates a social reading

experience allows students to connect with other people reading the same book, and provides an interactive experience.

FURTHER BENEFITSStudents will store all there

grades on their iPad which will allow new teachers to see where they are falling behind and where they are excelling.

Apps may be ran at a modified difficulty to suit all students.

Teachers will have more time to give to individual students to help them succeed.

HOW PARENTS SAY THERE CHILDREN USE TABLETS FOR

OVERVIEWIt is evident that iPads are becoming

the future of education in schools.However I believe that iPads should

be used in moderation as there are many side effects that will effect the students in the long run.

iPads have so far not specifically designed to be used for educational use.
