Introduction To Gynaecological Laparoscopy

Aimed exclusively at ST1 - 4 trainees, this one-day, intensive course aims to deliver theoretical knowledge and enhance the practical skills necessary for success in gynaecological

laparoscopy. Lectures will cover:

• Instruments, including energy devices.

• Pelvic anatomy. Entry techniques.

• Laparoscopic management of benign pathologies.

• Common injuries and complications.

Practical element covers both basic and more advanced laparoscopic skills, supervised closely by experienced surgeons.

Hands-on practice:

• Individual box trainers for basic techniques.

• Advanced laparoscopic simulator.

• Also, practise with Novasure and Myosure simulators!
