The participating nations agreedto develop experimental safety vehicles toadvance the state-of-the-art technology inautomotive engineering and to meetperiodically to exchange information on theirprogress. Since its inception the number ofinternational partners has grown to includethe governments of Canada, Australia, TheNetherlands, Hungary, Poland, and twointernational organizations -- the EuropeanEnhanced Vehicle-safety Committee, and theEuropean Commission.
