German requirements depend on the nature of the internship
Scholarships, insurance and housing assistance are provided
€250/monthly for graduates, €500/monthly for PhD students + €500/monthly from host company

•TIME: Start application process early (8-12 weeks), which materials can you submit online and which must be sent by FedEx/postal mail?
•GOALS: Why Germany? How does this relate to your career
goals and professional development?
•EXPERIENCE: Demonstrate how your professional experience/academic background relates to your planned internship project
•LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION:
•Pick recommenders who know you well
•Give recommenders at least 4-6 weeks
•Provide recommender with copy of your application documents
•PROOF-READING: Check documents for grammar and spelling; eliminate track changes; send PDFs rather than Word files
