TalkAbstract:Effective and efficient provision of patient-centered care is a big challenge. Care pathways arecomplex,involvingsafety-criticaltasksandrequiringthecoordinationofmulti-disciplinaryteams.Unfortunately,itisoftennotclearwhattasksshouldbeincludedinapatientcarepathwayandinwhatorder,whileerrors,delaysandmiscommunicationarenotuncommoneither. Inthis talk, Iwill present recentwork in the University of Edinburgh, wherewe employ artificial intelligencemethods and workflow technologies to model, verify, analyze and support integrated carepathways.
