KOZMINSKI UNIVERSITY OFFERS EDUCATIONAL SERVICES AT AN EXTRAORDINARY HIGH LEVEL BECAUSE OF ITS EXCELLENT
FACULTY AND INFLUENCE OF THE STATUTORY ADVISORY BOARDS.
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) is one of the world’s oldest business school
accreditation bodies – and currently 5 percent of all business schools in the world hold an AACSB accreditation. Indeed,
to date, out of the world’s 13 600 business education institutions are accredited by the AASCB. Kozminski University
is the only university in Poland that holds this accreditation. By obtaining AACSB accreditation Kozminski University has
joined the group of such prestigious universities as Harvard, Yale or MIT.
For more information, visit www.aacsb.edu
The Association of MBAs (AMBA) confirms the highest quality of educational services amongst MBA programs.
An AMBA evaluation considers factors such as facility, programs, staff qualifications, and student achievements and only
240 of the business schools in the world are distinct enough to claim the AMBA accreditation. Kozminski University
earned its AMBA accreditation in June 2008.
For more information, visit www.mbaworld.com
Based in Brussels, the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) evaluates the quality
of a business school’s services and facilities and only awards its accreditation to the best. Currently, just 167 institutes
carry the EFMD’s prestigious EQUIS accreditation. Kozminski University is the first university in Central and Eastern
Europe to be awarded this distinction. In 2015 Kozminski University successfully passed the reaccreditation process
and obtained full 5-year accreditation rights.

TRIPLE CROWN
Amongst business school accreditations, the most difficult to acquire are EQUIS, AMBA, and AACSB (the so-called ‘Triple Crown’
of accreditations). Currently, only less than 80 out of 13600 business schools in the world hold these three accreditations. In 2011, Kozminski
University joined this prestigious group. What does this mean for prospective students? It guarantees the highest quality of education, which
meets the most rigorous internationally recognized standards – and it ensures that a Kozminski diploma is recognized in the business world.
We are the only University in Poland that holds these accreditations.
Accreditations, Awards, Distinctions and Affiliations
Kozminski University is a full member of the
European University Association – an organi-
zation that represents the European academic
society throughout the world.
Kozminski University is a full member of the
European Law Faculties Association (ELFA).
It is also a member of the International
Association of Law Schools.
This accreditation, which evaluates the level
of professionalism of educational insti-
tutions, is awarded by the Central and East
European Management Development
Association.
In 2013, for the third time, Kozminski
University passed the reaccreditation
process.
Accreditations, Awards, Distinctions and Affiliations
The National Accreditation Committee awarded Kozminski University with distinction for its management program. Kozminski University was
the only institution in the country which received this distinction in 2004, and in 2010 this honor was repeated. This award was motivated
by the fulfillment of staff, programs, quality of education processes, and organizational requirements to a scale far exceeding standards imposed
elsewhere. In 2012 and 2013 the same distinctions were awarded respectively to Kozminski University programs in law and administration.

Prestige among Employers
FIRST PLACE FOR ALUMNI CAREERS
Kozminski University ranked first in the careers category among
all universities in the ”Financial Times” Global Masters in Management
Ranking 2012 listing. Organizers of the ranking evaluate the careers
of alumni three years after graduation and take into consideration
elements such as career development, current management positions,
and the prestige of the companies for which alumni work. Kozminski
University devotes a great deal of effort to teaching entrepreneurship,
which explains why so many of our alumni set up and quickly develop
their own businesses after graduation.
CONGRATULATIONS FROM EMPLOYERS
Kozminski University is the highest ranking Polish business university
according to the ”Financial Times”. This results in numerous letters
of congratulations from business leaders and professional association
representatives. In one such letter, Henryka Bochniarz, President of the
Polish Confederation of Private Employers (Lewiatan), wrote the
following:
„„
Kozminski also teaches the children of many Polish entrepreneurs, who subsequently assume managerial positions within their family-
run businesses. Among the many reasons Kozminski University
leads the global table in career rankings is its entrepreneurial spirit
and the fact that its host country – Poland – is the only European
country that maintained positive economic growth during the
infamous 2008-2012 global recession.
President of Kozminski University, Prof. Andrzej K. Koźmiński

91% of our alumni find work within 90 days of graduation. Some of our students work during their studies!
”LIONS OF KOZMINSKI”
Initiated in 2005, the Kozminski University ‘Eagles of Success’ distinction is awarded every year to an outstanding graduate alumnus and a postgraduate alumnus. The purpose of the competition is to honor Kozminski graduates who have achieved outstanding success and who can serve as a role model for others. Beginning in 2013 the award changed its name to ”LIONS OF KOZMINSKI”.
Lewiatan constantly strives for the Polish educational system to be
formed in such a way that the knowledge and skills gained
by students remains consistent with the needs of employers. Only
in this way can education continue to modernize Poland... (and)
the presence of Kozminski University in the rankings of the best
European business schools proves that the Polish job market
appreciates the value of the education you provide.

Studying at KU was an amazing experience, intellectually, socially and culturally. The whole environment
was so diverse that I learned how to effectively interact with people from various cultural backgrounds.
Being a Kozminski student is not only a way to earn a reputable degree, but also a certain way of life. Beside
the less tangible things like cultural and social experiences, KU is also a place which helps one to thrive
intellectually. While doing the double degree program, I was given the opportunity to participate in serious
research. This exciting experience motivated me to start my doctoral studies. Even though I am doing this
in Germany, I will always have #KUpride.
Marcus Hülsdau
Alumni of Master in Management (Germany)
Kozminski University provides students with an educational experience that includes dedicated,
international faculty members who are academic leaders. It not only encourages students to reinforce
their communication and leadership as well as entrepreneurial skills, but also provokes them to engage
in a multitude of social activities. Along with business, I am convinced that knowledge in Finance and
Accounting will serve my target as a triumphant businesswoman. I firmly believe that you will enjoy the
approach of thriving for excellence with all your schoolfellows under Bachelor in Finance and Accounting
Program at Kozminski University.

The track I've chosen is characterized by dedicated students and top-level professors that foster
an environment for aspiring finance professionals. My reason for applying to Kozminski was due to the high
international school rankings. I really enjoy KU's practical approach towards learning. Solving business cases
with groups of students, gives us a great advantage tackling real life scenarios after graduation. My fellow
students come from all over the world, which makes class discussions and group work truly interesting.

Why Poland?
POLAND
Poland is one of the most exciting international locations to be in right
now. The country is seeing unprecedented economic growth and
is developing and modernizing at a remarkable pace. The warm
ambience of the people and culture can be felt throughout its many
cities. The capital of Warsaw is an economic hub seeing great investments
from some of the world’s largest firms. The cultural center of Krakow
to the south is a den of art, music, history, and jubilation. The bustling city
of Gdansk to the north connects the country by sea to the rest
of Europe and the world. The natural wonders of Poland also enhance its
beauty and wonder. The quiet mountain town of Zakopane is Poland’s
own winter wonderland, while the Mazury lake district is an outdoor
paradise in the summer for those seeking adventure or relaxation.
Poland enjoys both mountains and beaches and connects the West
to the East, making a perfect crossroads for people of all preferences.
Poland is at the heart of an economic resurgence following the financial
crisis from 2008. Recovery efforts for many western powers depend
on opportunities in Poland, so all eyes are fixed on this central European
nation. Poland has a thriving social life with more people showing
an outpouring of interest in the arts, literature, sciences, and exercise. The
country is, after all, the home of greats such as Frederic Chopin, Marie
Skłodowska-Curie, and Joseph Conrad. Poland also offers the perfect
blend of old and new. Home to quaint cottages and regal palaces, and
a country which also showcases perplexing post Soviet architecture set
in contrast with highly modern skyscrapers. Whether you’re looking for
eastern antiques or the newest gadgets from the west, Poland has it all.
WARSAW
Warsaw is a thriving economic metropolis that is quickly becoming
Central Europe’s own “city that never sleeps”. Pioneering Poland’s
economic growth in the 21st century, Warsaw is currently seeing
unprecedented investment from EU powers and the United States, and
many of the world’s biggest firms have major offices in the city. In Warsaw,
business is life, and on any given day the city hosts an eclectic mix of the
business world’s elites. Since the end of communism in Poland over
25 years ago, Warsaw has taken off as a financial powerhouse and shows
no signs of slowing down. For an up-and-coming CEO and for a budding
business student trying to find his niche, Warsaw is without a doubt
an enthralling place to be.
The city is teeming with social life of all sorts. The memory of the Warsaw
Uprising during World War II still rings deep in the hearts of many
Varsovians, who hold it dear as a sign of fighting for what is right,
no matter the odds. This lively spirit is certainly evident today, and the
city has a uniquely creative character to show for it. Arts, music, and
culture all show a haunting mix of traditional and modern characteristics,
offering something that appeals to everyone. The city hosts two football
clubs who play in the Polish premiere league, and it is still enjoying the
experience it had as a host city during the Euro 2012 Championship.
Warsaw’s residents are an active sort, so doing anything under the stars
is definitely an option.

to inspire the student community to accept challenges and develop
expertise in the development of innovational business projects. Not all
students can and want to become startupers/entrepreneurs, but all
of them want to expand their range of skills, gain knowledge and
experience.
The series of events includes conferences, workshops, meetings that
are led by experts in their field. This, along with consultations with
mentors, we are confident that we will inspire action.
MENTORS
Nearly 50 first-class experts and practitioners have been enlisted
to assist the selected entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas into
a real business. Sessions and mentor support are organized individually,
depending on the actual needs of each project.
An indispensable element of studying at KU is taking advantage of the
exchange programs. Each student, who has finished their first year
of studies, speaks a foreign language and is in good academic standing
can go on exchange. KU has over 200 exchange agreements signed with
universities from around the world.
KU implements exchange programs for students and professors within
the framework of bilateral agreements with universities outside of the
European Union. KU also is a beneficiary of the European Erasmus+
program for the 2014-2020 term which supports the mobility initiative.
This program offers a subsidy for an exchange for a semester/year
to a partner university.
INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIPS
An attractive option for KU students for gaining international
experience is the Erasmus Placement program. Each student who
decides on a two month (or longer) internship to a country within the
EU has a chance on getting a subsidy for the duration of that internship.
KU has signed agreement with many organizations in countries such
as: Great Britain, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Greece, Portugal and others.

ver
Our stay in Costa Rica, in one of the most beautiful countries in the region of Americas was a wonderful and fruitful experience. The possibility of participating in an international exchange resulted in first-hand experience of studying at the best business school of Latin America and one of the best in the world. Thanks to the exchange program we learned a lot and we were finally able to use what we have learned during our studies, enhance our business network and understand the business, economic and social realities of Latin America. Moreover, the semester abroad in such a different environment in comparison to a European one helped us to discover ourselves more than ever before and step out of our comfort zone.

EUROPEAN CREDIT TRANSFER SYSTEM
§ A credit system is a systematic way of describing an educational
program by attaching credits to its components. ECTS is based on the
convention that 60 credits measure the workload of a full-time
student during one academic year. The student workload of a full-
-time study program in Europe amounts in most cases to 36/40
weeks per year and in those cases one credit stands for 24 to 28
working hours. Workload refers to the notional time an average
learner is expected to complete the required learning outcomes.
§ Thanks to ECTS Kozminski University students can complete study
programs abroad and transfer the credit they have gained so that
it is included in their program of studies. Same is true for incoming
exchange students who can complete courses at Kozminski
University and the credit for those courses will be honored by their
home universities.
