PROJECT OVERVIEW
1. PROJECT OVERVIEW
EPC Power has set up a Combined Cycle Power Plant of 53.5 MW capacity. The combined cycle operation of the plant has commenced from January 2000 after the successful commissioning of Steam Turbine.
The plant consists of one Gas Turbine Generator (Frame 6 B) of 35 MW capacity, one Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) and one Steam Turbine Generator (STG) of 18.5 MW capacity. The fuel for continuous operation is Naphtha and start up fuel is HSD. The plant uses a 220 KV switchyard for power evacuation. The DM water requirement for the plant is sourced through a DM plant/ Desalination Plant. Sea water is used for condenser cooling which involved 4.0 km long intake piping and 4.0 km long return water piping.
The Gas Turbine, which was supplied by EGT was commissioned during August 98. While the HRSG was supplied by GTFB (Group II), the Steam Turbine was supplied by Alstom - France. The total life cycle hrs of the gas turbine package is 61134 hrs, and total hrs since last overhaul 324 hrs
