Important Things During the Revolution• Saratoga – October 17, 1777
– Patriot Victory- We CAN beat the British! – French ally w/ Americans
• Valley Forge (1778) – no battle (emotional victory)– Washington & Continental Army fight to stay alive
through the harsh New England winter- TOUGH!
• Yorktown – October 19, 1781– Brits, led by Gen. Cornwallis,
surrender, officially ending war
Effects of Revolutionary War– War is over!!! Treaty of Paris signed 1783– US grows larger – Egalitarianism

Articles of Confederation
