year by sharks worldwide.
More golfers are struck by
lightning and killed than by
shark attacks.
Over 8,000 tons of shark fins
are processed each year.
Shark finning is when sport fishermen
cut off shark’s fins. Most of the sharks are still
alive when their fins are being cut off. After the
fishermen get what they want they throw the
finless shark back in the ocean to die by
either getting eaten by other fish or by dying a
very slow death at the bottom of the ocean.
